karma over simplified

I found this book oversimplified. To be fair the meaning of a house or sign position of a planet has to be interpreted in the context of the chart as a whole. But I put this book aside and recycled it after reading a bit. For a spiritual read on astrology see Astrology A Cosmic Science by Isabel Hickey. For a description of Karma go to the source. The Buddha originated the concept as intentional action and its fruits, as reported in the Pali Sutra’s. see the Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha: Discourse 135 and 136.

What a great read: interesting, informative, and charming! Before I read this book, I had no idea what karmic astrology was about. Now I know it all! (Or at least, my Sun-in-Capricorn-inspired karmic confidence makes me think I do
Marguerite Manning really knows how to connect with her readers. Throughout the entire book, I felt like I was having a personal conversation with the author. This book is definitely recommended reading for anyone curious about karmic astrology.

This is an easy-to-read reference that explores the connection between astrology and past lives.
Manning specifically looks at sun signs (Your Karmic Degree), sun houses (Your Karmic Calling), Saturn (Your Karmic Lesson), Neptune (Your Karmic Debt), Pluto (Your Karmic Arsenal), and the 12th House (Your Karmic Closet).
I have been amazed at how insightful the chapters are about my own personal life. I’ve also shared it with friends, and they were blown away too. It’s a great book and tool.

Marguerite Manning has a light touch for a profound subject. Cosmic Karma provides readers with new insights that inspire us to move beyond our perceived limits. The book is cleverly written and focuses on those sensitive points in our charts (our lives) where we tend to second-guess ourselves or feel ‘cursed’ by fate. I found the information clear and accurate. Better than just the book, though, is a reading with Marguerite–she definitely has the goods!

While I’ve always been open-minded and receptive to ideas that enhance my S.Q (spirituality quotient), my only exposure to astrology has been through horoscopes, which I’ve never considered to be anything more than astrological fortune cookies. Marguerite Manning’s book is the first thing that really opened my eyes to a more profound, meaningful and personal way of exploring and understanding astrology. Written in a warm, conversational style with great wit and an inescapable directness, I highly recommend this book to anyone open to understanding themselves in a new way.
Excellent Guidebook for the Cosmically Inept

Written with whit, love and a dose of reality check, Marguerite Manning’s Cosmic Karma: Understanding Your Contract with the Universe is the perfect book for those of us who feel inept or overwhelmed by astrology. I know with a name like Kiernan Antares you’d think I was born with a map of the stars imprinted in my brain to make the astrology lingo an easy assignment and the journey of life a breeze. But, that’s just not how it worked out for me.
The stars were definitely looking down on me one day guiding me to an introduction to Marguerite’s work and book and let me tell you have things changed since that day!
I was tripping a lot on my path, not understanding what dynamics were preventing me from living my purpose as fully as it was intended and thankfully it became crystal clear while reading Cosmic Karma as I learned about the influences in my life from the Sun’s, Saturn’s, Neptune’s, and Pluto’s placement in my birth chart. It might sound complicated, and I always thought it was when I tried to learn from other teachers but Marguerite makes it seem easy breezy in this fabulous must-have book for anyone wanting to break through their barriers and step into their ’soul contract’ with ease and grace.
My life has opened up since receiving the insights from reading Cosmic Karma and the universe is supporting me in ways I always dreamed of but always seemed to fall short in before. My mood and energy levels have drastically improved along with my ability to trust in the inspiraton I receive, make decisions and then act upon them.
Cosmic Karma has helped me to get off the rocky path and step gloriously onto the ‘yellow brick road’. I would highly recommend Marguerite’s book to anyone wanting to learn the ABC’s of astrology. It’s absolutely fun, easy to read and very enlightening!

I am a life long Catholic Christian who has always felt a deep, spiritual connection with Jesus Christ the Lord. I have also always felt that I’m not doing enough to be all that I was meant to be. The feeling that I am meant to do more and be more in this life . . . . But what does that “feeling” mean? This incredible book has shown me that all of my feelings are driven by my place in this AMAZING UNIVERSE. I, little old me, have a PLACE in this UNIVERSE! This book is like my field guide! Marguerite Manning, through her book, Cosmic Karma, was able to open up my mind to the Lord God to begin to learn about Him in new and brilliant light. Thank you Marguerite Manning for this book!

The Cosmos Never Seemed So Understandable!

I didn’t know much about astrology in general or karmic astrology specifically, but fortunately for me, reading Cosmic Karma changed all that. I really liked this book because it was educational, inspiring and so NOT boring. I especially liked the way the author didn’t talk down to me while explaining what are probably some of the most fundamental aspects of both karma and astrology. I’m sure there are many more technical astrology books here on Amazon that I could have purchased, but I’m also sure that’s why I’ve never bothered to read them. If you’re looking for a way to bring your own spirituality together with your respect for the principles of science like I was, you really should buy this book, you won’t be disappointed.

Cosmic Karma is, without a doubt, the most stunning piece of astrological guidance I have ever laid my hands upon. Marguerite’s readings are so right-on, and she has the wonderful gift of being able to speak personally to everyone, which is so rare among the astrological community. Now, I’ve done my fair share of karmic digging among books, blogs, and newsletters, and I have to say that I have yet to see anyone match Marguerite’s level of authenticity, depth, and humor in such an easy and accessible piece of writing. Some people, if they are lucky, find the right astrological book for them. Marguerite’s book is the first of its kind that is for everyone.
It is so user-friendly, so accurate, so funny, and so real. And the best part is, it will relate to your everyday life. I have no doubt that it will speak to every person, just as it did to me, because it encompasses so much, and yet is so personalized and targeted to you, that it is as if you have a karmic mini-read right before you. Who knew being enlightened about Karmic Astrology could be so fun?

Marguerite Manning not only gives a very insightful look as what our natal charts shows us as far as our past karmic debts we bring in, she also makes it very entertaining. This book is not dry but pulsates with the quick wit and humor that Marguerite breathes into it. Anyone from a casual horoscope browser to a well seasoned astrologer will find this book to be invaluable in becoming enlightened in what Karmic astrology is and how does it effect our current life! She explains each of the factors involved and then how it is applicable in your own chart according to which house or sign the karmic planets fall into. From this you will have a greater understanding of yourself, and what you can do to take these past live experiences and use them to improve your current one. You are guaranteed to get educated and a smile when you pick up this book!!!
