Fantastic Book You Will Refer to Often
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This book was highly recommended to me by a professional astrologer in the 80s when I first started studying astrology. I still refer to this book, and I’m glad to see that it’s still available because I still recommend it to friends. The entire series is good, but this first installment is priceless. This first book helps you learn the language and the basic mechanics of astrology, and it is organized for easy reference. By the time you finish reading this book, you should be able to read a chart. Then you’ll be ready to start a lifelong journey to continuously improve the art of practicing astrology!

Absolutely fantastic book to begin to really learn astrology
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This first book in a series of five is a wonderful way to begin learning astrology. A quiz at the end of each chapter ensures that you’ve learned the appropriate material so that you are able to move on in the lessons. I use it as a reference still today, 10 years later.

Great book for beginners
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This book is by far the best I have read when it comes to introducing astrology to people who have a serious interest. It goes through all the major principles of astrology in a clear and concise manner. It is structured by lessons as opposed to chapters and has a quiz at the end of each lesson. As you read more about astrology and become more experienced interpreting charts, you will want to read seperate books for each planet, or the nodes, etc., but I can’t think of a better way to start.

Excellent series for advanced beginners.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is an excellent series for advanced beginners looking for a deeper understanding, a way to put it all together that is logical and will increase one’s ability to interpret chart after chart, not just your own chart.

Good books
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a good book and compact, part of a series put out. I was new to astrology. However, I would never spend $40.00 for one alone. You can find other descent books out their for much less. Years ago I spent maybe $13 for a new one.

The quickest way…
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
March/McEvers have put together the fastest way to learn astrology. In addition to the reviews here at Amazon, the rave reviews on the inside cover of the book read like a who’s who? of modern astrology: Lois Rodden, Robert Hand, Robert Jansky, Karen Hamaker-Zondag. If you’re just beginning, or even if your a pro looking to brush up your “basics” this is the no-nonsense way to do it.

The best beginning book on Astrology I’ve seen
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a “plain jane” book…no fancy cover, and not very big. It is direct and to the point. It will take you through the basics of astrology in as much depth as any other book I have looked out…but much quicker, with less side trips to confuse you along the way. If you are trying to learn how to interpet birth charts, this book is a Must!

A person who has studied Astrology for over eighteen years..
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Anyone who is interested in learning about Astrology and needs a good starting point should read this book. I wish that this book was around when I first began to study Astrology.

“The Only Way to Learn Astrology” is a good book to begin with because it explains and defines all of the terms. It also gives enough information for someone to begin interpreting a Natal Chart.

The down side is that it is for beginners with a strong interest. If you are not really into it, you probably will be wasting your money. If you are serious, you might find that you need some other books that are more detailed for interpretation after studying this book.

Eventually, most astrologers begin reading books that focus on individual planets, trends, perspectives, ect. This book is a part of a series but, even so, there are more advanced books for people who have already invested some time in their search.

This is a great place to begin!

Great For Beginners and even intermediate
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I picked up my copy at a used bookstore for a couple of dollars. I was put off by the seemingly arrogant title and did not expect to get much out of it. After reading through it, I was so impressed that I eventually brought the entire series. It thoroughly covers all of the basics of interpretation, with easy to understand explanations. When clients ask for a book to further research their charts, I always refer March and McEvers. In fact, I use mine all the time and I have the best and most advanced books. Buy this book, you cannot go wrong if you are interested in learning the basics of astrology.

They say Volume I is going out of print, so if you can grab it, please do! This series, which even has further volumes, if you can find them, are the best ever with which to learn the basics. Easy to understand and yet covers all the bases.
