Ohmigod, Jan Spiller is astonishing!

For anyone — expert astrologer or beginner — read this book to learn how the location of the Moon’s Nodes in a person’s natal chart impacts them and their experience of Life. Jan Spiller has described the nodal effects so brilliantly, the chapter on each Node pair can lend phenomenally helpful information on any person who has just that one piece of information about her/himself. Written beautifully, and without much “insider” languaging, this book is FABULOUS for getting a grasp of one’s Life’s foundations. It felt as though the chapter on my Nodes was written Just For Me — and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard other people say the same thing!

Get an extra one of these for loaning! Jan Spiller dives deep and stays there through every detail. Even my husband was inspired by this gem – it has changed our lives for the better.
Some Strange Ideas on the Nodes…

There are some strange ideas on the Nodes floating about out there in the cyber-world, but Jan’s theories are well founded in the fundamental principals of Western astrology. Her understanding of the Nodes is excellent, however, some of the more fundamentalist Vedic Indian ideas are so claustophobic and disempowering, that they engender fear in fate and destiny. Be careful of these other literalist positions that deny your free will and pigeon-hole your fate.
As the author of a new book on the Nodes–”North Node Astrology; Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose” I give Jan a lot of credit for her work here. The rest of us stand on her shoulders and take what knowledge and wisdom we have picked up along the way, and add to what she has done. It’s a growing exciting field, but let’s stay on track with a wholesome understanding of the Nodes as an expression of compassion–and as holding the secret of the soul’s journey. ~elizabeth spring

Reading Jan Spiller is like a pleasant astrological version of going to the dentist. Drill here! Polish this section! By discovering how good you can feel following your North Node (ie your higher side) she makes it easier for people to stay on track in their lives. Once you’ve read it you’ll immediately notice how much calmer and fulfilled people are when they use their North Node energies – and how much they annoy themselves and others when they unconsciously stick to South Node ways. I suspect that when people fall in love with certain partners who “bring out their best”, the other person’s chart is actually activating their North Node – hence making them feel “on path”.

This is an amazingly accurate picture of your moon signs. giving you a great overview of what karma you are here to overcome and lessons needed to learn. its more impressive that sun signs for sure. i have recommended it to at least a dozen people.

I found this book excellent. The contents really are exhaustive and straight. I think if you are really interested in knowing your Soul’s journey, your past karmic lives and what you can do to clear off those karmas, don’t miss it !!!
Key to Understanding your Soul’s Potential and Mission for this lifetime

Belongs in your Astrology book collection! Jan Spiller does a excellent job at describing, in-depth, the drives and characteristics associated with our north nodes. I would describe our north node as our life purpose, and soul’s potential, whereas the south node is our soul’s pattern, patterns that we are use to, that are familiar to us, that can help or hinder us in this lifetime. Jan focuses, not so much on the past issues of south node, but on the potential of our north node. It is astonishing when you read about yourself and the people in your life, your boss, your best friend, your husband. It sheds light on their shadow self, and on the side of them that is yearning to be free from the past to reach full potential. It helped me to be more compassionate with people that I once could not understand, or that were downright maddening. Now, I use the knowledge of their north node to encourage their soul’s potential, (as well as my own). While it does touch on house placements, it is concise and accurate and very useful in promoting understanding and compassion.
THE book for non-believers of astrology!!!

Everyone I show this book to gets their mind blown. Regardless of your opinions on metaphysical things like astrology or past lives, this is a VERY insightful, enlightening book. It spells out one’s weak spots to work on and one’s natural talents, as well. I find if quite helpful in understanding family members, friends, lovers and myself. I own scads of astrology books and I use this one probably the most. A not-to-be-missed book!

All about the North Node

If you’ve ever wanted to learn just what a “North Node” means in an astrological chart and what it can do for you, this is the book for you! This astrological discusses what each North Node position means in great detail and she does not mince words about the negative traits associated with any position. (My North Node is in Libra, and she had a lot of choice things to say about those of us with this position.)
I will be checking to see if she has any more books available. I’d like to see what she has to say about other astrology-related topics.

This wonderful book by Jan Spiller is not new to me. I consulted its wise pages some years ago when I borrowed it from a friend. Now I have found I really need to have a copy of my own, and have sent two as gifts to others. I find the various descriptions of North Nodes extremely accurate. A real find.

I was sceptical at first, what could possibly be different than all the other books…boy was I surprised! I felt as if someone knew me so very well and that the book was written for me! I asked friends to read and it was also unbelievably accurate for them as well. This book came at the right time as my weaknesses were in black and white at the moment i needed them. Buy it, read it and be amazed…a true wonder.

By far the best book I own on astrology. Jan Spiller’s ability to clearly articulate and define the personality traits associated with one’s North Node is fascinating. A chart given in the beginning of the book helps determine where your North Node is, which is helpful in looking up the nodes of others. This is the meat of astrology put into language that is easy to understand. Jan provides an outline based on our nodal position of what our gifts and struggles are, and how to gain balance with our difficult patterns. I found it to be very telling and extremely helpful. This information is not generalized, but incredibly specific and accurate.
The Universe Knows You – and here’s some evidence.

If you believe that life is a roadmap to discovery – and you are interested in a more detailed map, you might find Jan Spiller’s book of interest. As in many complex issues, there are no hard and fast answers on how to lead your life – but the descriptions of those in your “node” will likely resonate with you, and bring some perspective, which always does wonders. I find some of the affirmations a bit hokey – but the goal and result seems to be heightened compassion – for yourself, and for those around you. We may think it is impossible to categorize and generalize people into astrological signs, and in this book “nodes” – but surprise, surprise – for those you know well – the descriptions seem tailor made, for those you don’t – a “what-if its true” scenario – that only broadens awareness and again compassion for how each human tries to cope.
